Introduction to the internal structure of metal rotor flowmeter

The metal rotor flowmeter is also called the metal float flowmeter. Because the float is impacted by the fluid during measurement, it itself also rotates, so it is called a metal rotor flowmeter. Unlike the turbine flowmeter, the metal rotor flowmeter reflects the flow rate by the rotation speed of the blades. It is a variable area flow measurement instrument.

The metal rotor flowmeter is mainly divided into two parts, the sensor and the indicator. A common sensor is connected to flanges at both ends, and there is a pipe section in the middle. The float with a circular cross-section moves up or down along the center line of the pipe under the action of force (this force is related to the flow rate).

During measurement, the fluid flows from the inlet to the float and impacts to make it move. Then it flows through the annular section between the float and the pipe wall and flows out. Finally, the position of the float is felt through the coupling magnet in the indicator. changes to complete the flow indication and signal transmission.

If it can display the flow digital size, the indicator is equipped with an analog-to-digital conversion module, an MCU processor and an LCD display. In this way, a variety of functions can be realized, including upper and lower limit alarms, etc.
